Read on for the updated 411 on the scholarship fund that’s continuing to change lives – and have a ripple effect – because of your support. AND what we’re inviting you to make happen this Giving Tuesday.
First, some catch-up:
Give Her Camp
…is Campowerment’s sister 501(c)(3) organization* that is dedicated to expanding access to the life learning that this community provides, by sending women to our life-affirming, dream-incubating, absolutely re-invigorating camp retreats.
The org is a labor of love that, since 2016, has bridged an opportunity gap for nearly 100 women to have become re-empowered. Charged from their experience at camp, these women have changed their own lives and the lives of those around them, which, in turn, charges US to turn up the heat year over year…with your help.
Giving Tuesday
Regarded as the National Day of Giving, Giving Tuesday is a “global generosity movement” that happens on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, encouraging us to give back when and where we can, putting our efforts in causes we believe in. And here’s why we encourage YOU to believe in Give Her Camp:
Because the empowerment of one woman at camp is an exponential investment in her whole community beyond the campfire.

Status, Heading into Giving Tuesday:
We’re already on the way to re-igniting 30 incredible change-makers’ lives in 2023.
Every year since we founded Give Her Camp, we’ve seen this community up the ante, and been absolutely blown away by not only the number of scholarships you’ve unlocked, but the extraordinary stories of the women you nominate (yourselves included) to receive them.**
At Classic Camp this Fall, 33 campers (More than 30% of camp!) each contributed what they could to fund 23 scholarships in 2023. We would have set that as our goal, but once again, this badass community showed us we are, collectively, here to do even more than that. Which means that:

In 2023, we’re looking to break every record we’ve ever set: fundraising to provide 30 camp scholarships to women who…

- || Are committed to sharing what they glean from camp to help others in their community
- || Bring a diversity of experience, race or ethnicity
- || Without scholarship, would not otherwise be able to afford this program
